GEMINI was proudly represented at this year’s MOVE2025 conference in London (18–19 June), where Romeo Arianna took part as a speaker in one of the key panels: “The First and Last Mile Challenge: Improving Connectivity from Transit Hubs to Start and End Destinations.”
Sharing the stage with James Scott (Transport for Greater Manchester), Catherine Marris, and Hafsa Ameen (Open Road Access), Romeo contributed to a rich and forward-looking discussion on Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) and the vital role of inclusive design in future mobility hubs. Drawing on experiences from Denmark to the UK, the panel explored strategies to better serve all users—particularly those with special needs—at the critical start and end points of journeys.
Romeo highlighted GEMINI’s achievements within the Mobility Living Lab in Rudersdal, showcasing how EU-funded projects are not only enabling the development of innovative mobility solutions, but also supporting their real-world testing and scalability.
One of the key takeaways from the event was the chance to learn about Greater Manchester’s Bee Network, an ambitious integrated mobility system designed to unify public and shared transport. Its holistic approach to connectivity and user-centered planning offered valuable inspiration for similar efforts underway in the Capital Region of Denmark.
Finally, the conference was rounded off with an insightful tour of London’s shared mobility infrastructure and public transport network—offering a hands-on look at how one of Europe’s largest cities is approaching urban mobility transformation.
