The GEMINI Project was represented at the XVI Congreso de Ingeniería del Transporte (CIT2025), held from June 18 to 20, 2025, at the School of Engineering and Architecture (EINA) of the University of Zaragoza.
This prestigious event—recognized as both a national and international benchmark in the field of transport engineering—brought together researchers, practitioners, and innovators to explore the latest scientific and technological advances in transport and mobility. With the inspiring theme “Transport-e”, this year’s edition focused on key dimensions such as efficiency, electrification, ecology, and evolution, encouraging a collective reflection on the future of sustainable and integrated mobility.
As part of the GEMINI consortium, ITA – Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón, represented by Shaghayegh Rahnama and David Escuín Finol, presented the paper:
“Advancing Integration and Interoperability in Mobility Living Labs: A Pathway to Replicating Success Across Cities”
This contribution, grounded in the ongoing work of the GEMINI Project, explored how strengthening integration and technical interoperability within Mobility Living Labs (MLLs) can foster scalable innovation and facilitate the replication of successful sustainable mobility solutions across European cities.
By identifying common standards, enabling data exchange, and enhancing collaboration between MLLs, the research proposes a roadmap toward a more connected and effective innovation ecosystem—one that empowers cities to adopt, adapt, and scale mobility solutions in response to local challenges.
The presentation received strong interest and was an excellent opportunity to disseminate the project’s goals and methodologies while reinforcing the role of GEMINI in shaping the next generation of urban mobility systems.
CIT2025 was also a valuable platform to align GEMINI’s efforts with broader trends in sustainable transport and to engage with leading experts and institutions shaping the future of mobility.
