How can new mobility services respond effectively to users’ needs while adapting to an evolving policy and regulatory landscape?
On 6 October 2026, from 14:00 CET, the GEMINI project will host a new webinar dedicated to “Policy and regulation for new mobility services”. The session will bring together the end-user perspective with policy and regulatory insights to explore some of the key challenges affecting the deployment of innovative mobility solutions.
Putting end users at the centre of mobility policy
New mobility services have the potential to make transport more accessible, flexible and sustainable. However, their successful deployment depends not only on technology, but also on how well services respond to the needs of the people who use them and how effectively policy and regulation support their implementation.
The webinar will examine these questions from an end-user perspective, exploring the relationship between users’ expectations and the policy and regulatory conditions surrounding new mobility services.
From GEMINI experience to policy recommendations
The session will present key findings and recommendations from the CENEX study and policy handbook, connecting them with practical regulatory issues and insights emerging from the GEMINI Mobility Living Labs.
Drawing on the experience of the project, the webinar will provide an opportunity to reflect on the regulatory challenges encountered when introducing new mobility services and on possible approaches to facilitate their deployment and wider uptake.
Explore mobility scenarios through the 3D Mobility World
Participants will also have the opportunity to see a live demonstration of the 3D Mobility World tool.
The demonstration will show how the tool can be used to explore different mobility and regulatory scenarios, offering another perspective on the interaction between innovative services, users and the policy environment.
The webinar will conclude with an interactive Q&A and discussion, giving participants the opportunity to exchange views on practical challenges and potential solutions for the future of new mobility services.
Meet the speakers
Kathryn Bulanowski is Project Manager at the European Passengers’ Federation, where she works on improving multimodal travel experiences by researching end-user needs and engaging with the transport industry. Within GEMINI, she contributes to WP5 and the project’s policy package, bringing the passenger perspective into the discussion on new mobility services.
Pablo Decelis Orozco is Technical Specialist in the Circular Mobility team at Cenex Nederland. His work covers life cycle assessment, circular economy strategy and digital tool development for Horizon Europe projects. In GEMINI, he contributes to WP5, including the New Mobility Services policy handbook, the D5.1 policy briefs on deployment guidelines and technology roadmaps, and the 3D Mobility World interactive platform.
Daan van Rooij is Technical Specialist at Cenex Nederland, focusing on shared mobility, public transport and city logistics. With a background in Transport, Infrastructure and Logistics from TU Delft, his work has included research on neighbourhood shared mobility hubs and battery electric buses. In GEMINI, he contributes to WP5 and to the D5.1 policy briefs on deployment guidelines and technology roadmaps.
