How can periurban mobility solutions make commuting to Helsinki easier, more sustainable and better connected to public transport?
On 26 August 2026, from 14:00 to 15:00, the Helsinki Mobility Living Lab will host an online GEMINI webinar exploring how mobility solutions in periurban areas can strengthen connections with Helsinki and support the role of public transport across the region.
Drawing on pilot activities in the Helsinki area, the speakers will share practical insights into resident engagement, implementation challenges and the factors that help mobility solutions succeed. The session will examine how community involvement, data, communication strategies and sustainable business models can contribute to scalable services that benefit both commuters and the city.
The webinar is particularly relevant for policymakers, transport planners, researchers and mobility innovatorsinterested in improving connections between periurban areas and urban centres while advancing sustainable mobility.
