Something exciting is on the move as we prepare for the upcoming GEMINI Mobility Living Lab (MLL) pilot project.
Did you know that FC Bayern Munich supports the EU-funded GEMINI project? The aim is to develop new sustainable mobility solutions for visitors to the Allianz Arena, in order to reduce traffic congestion and delays for fans. In collaboration with Volkswagen Data:Lab, FC Bayern München AG and Allianz Arena GmbH will pilot a last-mile Park & Ride (P+R) shuttle for selected games between November and February 2026.
The new shared mobility service (NMS), developed within the GEMINI Munich Mobility laboratory together with partners such as UPM, DTU, ALLIANZ, AIM, VMZ, YUNEX and ATOM, aims to curb private car use and relieve traffic congestion around the stadium during football matches.
🅿️➡️ In recent weeks, @AnestisPapanikolaou (tag), MLL Leader of Volkswagen Data:Lab, in close collaboration with the Allianz Arena and FC Bayern teams, has refined the core elements of the new Park & Ride mobility service.
🚌✅ Together with the bus operator Autobus Oberbayern, the team successfully carried out the last-mile Park & Ride shuttle service test, validating routes, operational flows, and traffic conditions on match days.
